ThrowBack

When I look back
I smirk
At how much I put on the rack
Imitations of stuff I had to
pack
My stay home when mates were in the parks
And silence I shared when friends were back.

I smirk
At how my folks toiled their backs
Everything they ever had racked
To ensure my future never suck
And my studies not again in the dark.
Sometimes when I look back
I want to throw up.
But I can't throw up
After all they gave up
So that they can see me on my way up
And I'll ever ever walk with my head up
Until who is Up
Says my time's up.
When I look back
I'll smirk
But I'll never throw up
I'll never give up
I'll ever toughen up.
